Level 4 of 28
CVC Words List (with Audio)
CVC words are three-letter words built consonant–vowel–consonant, like cat, pin and sun. They are the first words most children can read entirely by sounding out, which makes them the single most useful list in early phonics.

Teaching tip
Point to each letter as your child says its sound, then sweep your finger under the whole word as they blend it. The sweep is what turns three separate sounds into one word.
