Level 27 of 28
Two-Syllable Words for Kids (with Audio)
Once a child reads short words confidently, length becomes the obstacle. Splitting a word into syllables turns one hard word into two easy ones: rab / bit, bas / ket.

Teaching tip
With two consonants in the middle, split between them. Clapping the syllables out loud before reading gives the child the shape of the word first.
