Another pair where the sound gives you no clue at all — you have to know where in the word it falls.
The rule
AU likes the MIDDLE… AW likes the END!
Both teams say /aw/ like in yawn.
• In the middle of a word → write au (p-au-se).
• At the end (or right before a final letter) → write aw (s-aw, dr-aw).
